Membership
Candidates
for membership to the Benson Table must be Union League members
in good standing, including Resident, Life Members and Non-Resident
Members. Life Members are those
who
had been
a member
of the
Table for
thirty-five
years or longer. Non-Resident Members are those who have non-resident
membership status in the Union League.
The Membership Committee, which is appointed
by the President, will be composed of a chairman and six other
members of the Table. A quorum of three is required for any action
to be moved out of Committee.
Members may sponsor potential candidates to
the Table by submitting to the Committee Chair, on an approved
application form, the candidates name, and other information
as required on the application. There is no limit to the number
of candidates a member may sponsor per year although discretion
is recommended on the number of candidates submitted.
Candidates interviewed and then recommended
by the Committee are submitted to the Executive Committee of
the Table for final approval and election to the Benson Table.
